Can anyone tell me what direction the outer on the centrifugal clutch should spin when replacing the one way clutch? the new one I bought isn't marked or stamped side out. so outer on centrifugal will spin clockwise or counter depending on which way I insert the new one way. thanks.

IDK, but turning over the motor with the kicker would tell me what direction it drives and then freewheels.....

This is a fool proof way of knowing..if you install it and it free runs in one direction and stops the other, you have it right. If it is locked up in both directions you have it in backwards..take it our and reverse it.
This is what I found when I replaced one on mine. Didn't know at the time what direction, but when I installed it this is what I found.

the bearing says on it which way goes out...at least mine did..
