    I have a 125 I want to make it look like a 70

I have a good running 125 that I want to convert into a atc70, put 70 front fork, wheels, gas tank, and plastics on. Has andbody done this? What modifications would I have to do? Will it even work? I'm just trying to figure out if it would be easyer then putting the motor into a 70 frame.

honestly motor into a 70 frame will be easier as you will need a 70 frame to get dimensions on the seat bolt down bracket and also need to move the front pegs for the fuel tank as the 125's are too far ahead.
rectum nothin damn near killed them

The pegs for the gas tank would be really easy to do. But to put the motor into a 70 frame requires the frame to be stretched and new motor mounts drilled into it and you have to smash the under side of the gas tank so that the carb will clear it and the crank shaft has to re mounted plus the throttle cable has to be custom made plus the mount that holds the top of the motor head has to all be welded on

Are you trying to do this for a kid? Or just something different and to be able to day you did it?

Obviously im doing it for me I have no idea where you got that assumption.
And dohcbikes keep your ignorant opinion to yourself, I am trying to figure out REAL info on doing this. I cant imagine im the only one doing this to a 125m I have read posts about doing it to a 110, and I just would like to know if anybody had done it to completly to look like a 70 out of either a 110 or a 125 and if they would let me know how is /how it went, and what other modifications they had to to.

Putting the 125 motor in a 70 is simple to do. I've done 2 with 110 motors. Do a search on it.

I actually want to do this w a 125m!! There is a guy that did a 110 w 70 forks, plastics, tank, hubs and rims.
I think it was posted on org.
it looked cool as hell! Like a streached hill shooting 70 w a wide axle. It would make an awesome camp cruiser or pit trike. I want the 125M to have electric start.. lol

I have 70s w big motors, I still want the 110/125m frame mimi at some time. I actalluly run 110 pegs on my lifan 125 atc70 w bmx bars to make it fit a fill size guy, I love the way it feels!

If I remember he made tank and fender mounts, moved fenders back to make it look rite.

I think its a cool idea. Good luck w the project!

I was thinking that doing this would be easier then switching the frames. And I was wondering if anybody else has done it and what problems they ran into doing it. I have already found one, with the stock 70 tires there is very low clearance.
