    Tire Opinion

I am thinking about buying some 22x11x8 tires for my 83 atc 200 and then buying some nice rims for it,since it has 25x12x9 on it right now and they are starting to get low on tread then I thought that it would be a good idea.Would i notice a lot of speed difference or would i just lose a lot of ground clearence?

You will notice a ton of top speed loss. Forget using 1st gear. You do gain a lot of pepiness though. I have 22" on my 83 atc200. good for hill climbing and trail riding, but everyone will smoke you on pavement. I don't really notice it dragging too much in the trails as far as ground clearence loss goes.

What would be a good tire size to go with so i dont lose any top speed because i already have a smaller front sprocket.

Well ANY drop in tire diameter will cause a loss of top speed. It's all about balance.
