I have ridden a few 450s and they are fun in the dirt but suck in the sand. You have to rev them like a 2 stroke and I dont think they have much for torque. Anyways Im not impressed with 450s, would MUCH rather have a 2 stroke. The raptors (or other big thumpers) have lots of torque and that makes them pretty fun to ride. Just my 2 cents.

Well put!!!! thats exactly how i feel, if im going to convert id like a huge thumper. Also 450s dont last very long, i know this from personal experience, a old world honda xr will run many many more years than a 450!

thats true it is just my opinion, im not a 450 fan at all, my 2 stroke 250s top end lasted longer than my 450s did, i just had a bad 450 i guess....
i know 450s are all the rage now
not sure how 450s came into the big bore raptor trike subject

check out my pic its my crf450 with a banshee motor in it, i got tired of the 450 motor having problems so i fabbed a banshee motor in it, the problems was solved for me, the banshee went over 3 years on a top end
