hah. yeah I would go with shorts changer not pucker. you could tell he wanted to throw the steering wheel but must not have wanted to break anything in the cockpit.

Definitely happened on a drag track, you can see the trap display boards go by the windows somewhere around 42 seconds. What gets me is that he looks really nervous before he even flips his visor down, and if you watch the steering stem before he launches it is plain to see that it is not engaged, so I don't know what he was thinking. His emergency reactions were not very well thought out for a season racer.

I love the way he looks over the steering wheel, then sort of holds it up like he is looking down the shaft like, "Hey, what the?" lol man that had to be a nasty feeling!

Have you guys ever been to a drag race? Im not being arrogant im actually asking lol...The driver puts the steering wheel on.

He either did not make sure the detent was engage when he locked it in or he just didn't remember how to race a car. Or the video is set up.

Once again watch the stem wobbling in the column before he launches. If he didn't notice that it wasnt engaged then I seriously doubt he has raced very many times at all. Judging by his eyes before the launch he's fairly fresh to this.

maybe it was one of those race schools and he was a student. I hate it when vids or photos have no back story so you have some sort of clue as to what's going on besides the obvious. Maybe that's what's wrong with the country today...lol we're all walking around like.."Duhhh, da steering thingy came off..it must be brokeded" lol,lol,lol...
