    Found A 70, 2 Trail 90's & 85 250R in last month all for $1000

I have been looking for a while for a project 70 for me and the boys to wrench on. The Tri Z is on hold for the moment until Raffa gets the testing done for Raw Meat II. I was very close to buying bkm's 70 a few weeks back but the shipping to CA was a little too much. Anyways was driving home from work yesterday and seen this little gem sitting out in front of an appliance repair shop. Sign said $100 obo, so I offered her $50 and loaded it up. Tires hold air, it pulls over with compression, shifts good. The bad is all the wiring is cut right where it comes out of the case from the stator. No kill switch, no coil nothing. Also as you can see the back fenders and seat are a little misplaced too . All in all I think I did good for $50.

I will get more pics put up this weekend after I clean her up a bit. The plan is powder coat and chrome everything, all new plastics and decals and then a 108cc stroker kit from Honda . I may actually have shortline10 build the motor for me if he is not busy. I want to keep the stock Honda look, that way people are how in the hell my 70 is so fast . I need a set of the xowner 70 rims too, if someone has a set they want to get rid of. Ill keep my eye open for the next buy.

The rear fender that came on the bike is for a late model ATC 110 (not sure of the year exactly). It is in pretty good shape for a rider, minus the hacvk job somebody did on the front of it. If anybody needs these I would love to trade for some 70 parts (wiring harness, kill switch, decent rear fender???) otherwise I will let them go for $15 + the ride. Ill even throw in the fancy 2 passenger seat .

Jeez - the pull start is worth the $50 (that's how I judge 70 prices).

    Nice!

Can't beat the price. Wonder what the seat is off of? Could probably sell that to the right enthusiast for $50.00 if it's as good as it looks.

The seat is in good shape for sure. Definitely a motorcycle seat but I have no idea for what. Hate to toss it out

Look what I found toady 2 matching Honda Trail 90's for $100. They don't run but did when they were parked 15 yrs ago . My goal is to clean them up and flip them as they are a hot commodity around here. People love them for hunting around here as you cant beat the milage. They belonged to my buddies uncle and have been sitting under a barn overhang for years. Couldn't believe it when he mentioned that his uncle wanted to get rid of them. Even more surprised to find out he only wanted $100. Anyways I gotta quit buying toys, at least for a little bit

Nice score on both. My best score on the 70 was 1 83 roller, 1- 84 not running but complete and 1- Xmas special for 300. At that time I had never seen a blue atc before. You have me beat with that 70 for sure.
    Trikes:
    1985 ATC 70 mod to 184cc
    1984 ATC70 mod to 124cc
    1983 ATC 70 Xmas restoration

    Quads:
    1986 TRX 250R
    2002 TRX 400EX
    2- LT80 for the kids
    1986 LT 50

Thats an awesome deal. I love those blue 70's. I think I might actually make this one black and blue but haven't decided yet.

So the trike bug bit me again. Found this beast on craigslist yesterday just browsing around. Guy was asking $1000, I got him down to $900, but I think its worth it. She screams through all the gears, seems to have original tires and rims. The plastics are Maier front and rear and the gas tank is pretty faded, but its all there and in pretty clean shape. Not must rust anywhere on the bike. I think I am just going to clean this one up, re-grease all the slots and start ripping. Got to get a seat cover though, the one there is heinous. Anyways not much going into these new projects until I get my Z finished (motor @ Klemm Vintage now, then headed to GK Polishing), but needed to secure my future work . I am excited to work on this one as I have never had a 250R and the parts are everywhere compared to my TriZ.
