    Carb float shipping stabilizer

Just got a hit from atvconnection.
They mentioned that some carbs come with some sort of gel blob
that is put into the carb float bowl to keep it from flopping
    around during shipping.
They recommend letting it sit with fuel in it for 1/2 hr before
tuning so the gel blob can dissolve.

With all the china / replacement carb posts, I've never heard of this.
    Sounds interesting.

Thats interesting... don't see the point though, won't hurt it any to vibrate around a bit. I would rather have them take the bowl off and put in some bubble wrap or wadded padding that i could remove the bowl and remove myself. I don't want anything leaving residue in there, or even the chance it would.
