    Pulling flywheel on 81 atc200

I ordered the flywheel removal tool for my Honda 200....is it really this hard to get it to come off ? i'm putting every last bit of energy I got into it and it won't hardly turn anymore.

Use a very moderate amount of heat with a torch on the crank . This will expand and contract the two metals , use the puller again and it should pop off and as stated an impact helps .

All perfect advice above. If it's a PA or NY bike. Not sure about Ohio, but I suppose it would run true. Yes, these can be tough. Once you've run the impact in fairly snug, pop the end with a , should pop right off. There is a HUUUUUUGe difference between working on our bikes and Southern bikes!!

Same here it seems, i always end up using an impact to blast them off, sometimes a few hard cracks with a mallet will work as well. They do get stuck on there mighty tight.

Easy here man.. Hammer,,,NOT sledge !!!!!!!! Lmao,,you don't wanna buy another engine lol. If you have provisions to hold the flywheel,Chain wrench? You can hand tighten it hard enough to get it to pop with heat and a . Be careful. Or take it somewhere where there's a air impact. It will come off.

Easy, man! Don't send the crank through the other side of the motor.

Heating with a torch and spraying penetrant on it will suck the penetrant into the gap. Keep at it. You'll get it!

yes my 81 200 was hard to get off too it was rusted on...but I did what these guys are saying I spayed penetrating oil in between the crank and flywheel used a regular and beat around the flywheel but not too hard and then I used a 1/2 inch ratchet on the puller and hit the end of the ratchet with a few times and I got it pop off. If its that stuck you will have to hit it with an impact gun.
