I haven't been around much to offer anything so take this for what its worth.
It seems a few of you hardcore guys have taken a liking to really calling people out and putting their crap in the street. Keep it up and there will be nobody left to talk to but yourselves and 4 or 5 people.
This site is best when there is a diverse audience. From the newb to the seasoned masters . That is what makes it great.

You all can keep this alive as long as you want and I will explain my position over and over if need be.

MD was corrected by me about placing a thread in the wrong section of this forum. All I did was tell him that. He was the one who decided to escalate things and get upset, all the while accusing me of being upset when I never was. It was all in black and white whyzee, but it's since been deleted. He acted like a child. As usual, I explained my position very calmly and merely stood my ground when he decided to attack me. He quoted my words and all I did was reply. I wasn't going to leave him unanswered when he's quoting me. He worked himself up into a tizzy over nothing and accused me of being the one to work things up. It was a classic case of someone not being able to handle being corrected. Not my fault.

Did you happen to see the entire thread that caused Mickey to get so bent out of shape whyzee?

And every thread since has been closed and deleted. So save your breath. Because soon enough it will happen to this one too.

I did see the thread and I saw all of your follow up posts and threads. It seemed to me like you were either in a really bad mood or were just lying in wait for a chance to once and for all lay into him.
I am bringing attention to this because it just seems to me that a few of you guys are on some sort of high horse that you need to get off of . The mods are there to put threads where they belong politely and discreetly. You jumped at every chance you could to show how superior you are . Unless your a mod I would suggest you let them do their job.
Call me crazy but Google Mickey Dunlop and then Google Fabio driven. Its a Three Wheeler Website Fabio. Some people would have loved the chance to be able to speak with him.
I am not a starstruck person and its OBVIOUS you are not either but I am respectful to people. You were just flat out rude.
Its Ok to be confident and most times its great but only a fool thinks he is wise all the time.

I was very slightly rude at the very beginning, but I didn't like seeing football where he knew it shouldn't have been. Everything I said after that was in a very calm demeanor and all in defense of my good name which I am going to stand up for. I will PM you two other threads that went the same exact way this one did and I got warnings for. If you actually take the time to read my words and not gauge what I'm saying on the reactions of those I'm addressing, I think you will see it is I who am usually right and it is I who keeps a cool head. Very often I get accused of getting riled up, but usually I'm not.

My point of this thread is for those that feel the constant need to correct people is to remember the old bible saying " why do you see that splinter in your brother's eye, but not notice the plank in yours ?"
Kinda thought we were all brothers on here but no one wants to be around one who is constantly puffing up his own chest at the expense of others wether right or wrong. There is a way to go about it a little less abrasive .

I would rather see accurate and pertinent information and hurt feelings along the way than worry about who's going to sob when they get corrected. If people were as concerned about learning as they were about being offended, they'd be as smart as I am and I wouldn't have to correct them. Humility is something that many people these days lack and I offer free classes to those who would rather be proud of being wrong then speak humbly and correctly.

There are so many words deleted by those who have posted wrong and been corrected by me. The mods have deleted some but many were deleted by their very authors. My words are altered only to correct mistakes, but the meaning will always stay. I can stand behind my words. They don't have to stand behind theirs if the words are no longer there.

I don't want people like that giving my hobby a bad name because they think they are God's gift to the sport. Who cares if he raced? Trying not to add fuel to the fire i will speak vaguely and indirect, so do not take offence.
I want to speak on behalf of the younger generation here. It seems a lot of the older guys here have a problem with passing the torch. We are the future, naturally we should respect those older than us. Most have more experience than we do. So we look up to you to learn. We rely on you to teach us and work with us. Do not get offended or all worked up when we do something wrong, after all we are all trying to help. Its all about how you word things on the internet. You cant see someones subtle sarcasticness in their face, you cant hear the tone of which they spoke a word. If you need to correct someone, do it. Please, do it. Just dont be rude and there are no problems. You learn from mistakes.

I dont have anyone to teach me how to rebuild a 225dx engine, i dont have anyone to show me how to change fork seals on a 200x, thats why i come here. I come hear to learn about trikes, and there is no better place to do it. So dont anyone screw it up for me.


My view on the subject since i read it all in its entirety before posts were removed and threads taken down:
Instead of doing what was done, the report feature should of been used and none of this would of happened. It would of been moved to the correct section by a moderator and nobody would of ever had a problem.

No, many of us do not respect you younger guys and your words because you have not yet proven yourselves to us. You're not especially outspoken, but other young guys on here have already proven to me who they are. So few of you respect those that came before you and have already forged the same path you're on. I don't get offended or worked up, I correct mistakes. It is then that the other party is the one who gets offended usually. Next to never will you see an older member getting worked up when a kid helps him, but he will get offended when a kid tries to help him and doesn't know what he's talking about. If you don't know, don't post. It's very simple. If you get corrected, go cry and point the finger at everyone else, then start a thread about how you're leaving and name call, and after that you can delete your posts because, after all, you don't want any proof of how much of a child you are, then come back even though you've left and post again...

Or just say "I stand corrected" or "My mistake".

You kids are not taught properly these days. You are talking to men here who have been working on trikes for longer than you have been alive. We're many of us very skilled at our respective trades and many of us have been to war, traveled, owned or do own homes, built garages, invented things, seen death, dodged death, danced with the devil, barked at the moon, and have had conquests of many types, all of which you will do someday as well.

The thing is this. We don't owe you respect, you boys owe it to us. If you don't show it to me, I surer than shite am not going to show it to you. That is not going to change.

Cant argue with that. And i wont, because i dont have a problem with anyone here. Lately i have been sitting back just watching all of which your talking about happen. But im here to learn from those guys that were there during it all, read about their experiences from a better time, and continue to enjoy trikes and pass on that same feeling to others. Every time i convince someone i know to buy a trike i feel like a Christian converting someone to Christianity. Like i saved someone. I wasn't fortunate enough to be there during that time. But you are right, respect is earned.

People can argue this subject all they want though. If they would leave his name out of it and just understand what happened he wouldnt have a reason to come back and it would blow over in a week.
