350x with mods vs

Ok some of y'all may think this is a dumb question because its discussed everywhere but her it goes... My friend thinks a stock liquid cooled 250r could smoke a 350x only supplied with a 400ex carb, supertrap exhaust, box vents on a quarter mile straight shot.. I've read on the honda 350x forum that the 400ex carb gives it something sort of like a powerband? This may be wrong but please correct me if its not true stock for stock I have "heard" the 250 always pulls away vs the two? I almost know the 250 would have the holeshot but I was just wondering what y'all thought

I'd have to agree, though it wouldn't be an embarrassing defeat, the 250r would still have the upper hand.

As far as the hubs are concerned, though the standard hubs like say from the 200x will have the same spline and bolt pattern, if they lack the lip that fits into the axle dust seal and outer bearing you'll have a greater issue..

Someone is welcome to correct me if I'm mistaken, but I think you'll have to go application specific.

A modified 350x will beat almost every 4 stroke quad up to 500cc. Everywhere. 250r beats em all!

A stock 350X can keep decent time with a bunch of guys trail riding even if they are on faster machines like Rs and Zs. Hell a 200x can in the right hands!

It doesn't always have to be about the beating you lay down..you'll outgrow that in a few years and realize there is another dimension to riding with your friends!

You won't have any problems keeping up with anyone trail riding on a 350x. I ride mine with two strokes all the time. Still my favourite machine. Can't beat a 350x, infact, can't beat having two!
