i dont know if 250R ones will bolt up but maier makes super scoops ( i believe thats what they are called) i have a pic of them on my 200x....you cant really see what they look like...but ill get the best pic i can find. the only difference i have noticed is that the maier ones have a curve to them whereas stock are flat.
where did you get that seat cover that says Honda accross the back in such big letters?
as far as i know its stock.....lol if its not stock i dont know where i got it from besides the previous owner, and lord only knows where he got it from.
I don't really like the looks of the 83-85 200x tank, and the maier super scoops don't help it very much. Im working on building a race engine, and plan on adding an oil cooler. so Im wanting some air scoops that are more functional. So I started playing around with some photos. I haven't committed to the idea yet, but I do have a 86 200x tank and Im sure I can make it fit. But, I really like the looks of the 350x tank on the 200x...
Hehe... Kinda like buying your girlfriend a boob job :-D
top..........85 200x tank with maier super scoops
middle.....86 200x tank with stock scoops
bottom.....85 350x tank with maier super scoops
Okay, the oil cooler purpose makes sense to me, but if you dont have an oil cooler mounted in there, what would be the purpose of large scoops in a machine without a radiator? Im losing sleep over this.
Maybe I'm way off, but I have my reservations about how much cooling those fins actually contribute to cooling on an air cooled system w/ no radiator. Seems like thermal protection in the way of running synthetics, etc. would be a priority. Any thoughts about this?

on a 200x it would prolly be for looks 8)
