Anyone on a cable high speed connection?

I just want to know if anyone here is paying for the internet service, but NOT the TV service from which would be the same company. Must be a cable internet connection. If you are, please pm me or post here, I'd like to ask you something and I'm sure it would be equally benificial if you did. Thanks -Jay

My brother has a cable internet connection. It was alright, but I would want faster, which I will be getting when I get an apartment.

I think his montly bill was like 40 with the cable company which he got a package which was with the cable tv service too.

What info do you need on Cable Internet?

    ....

your not thinking about hooking a TV up to your cable modem jack in the wall are you??? and trying to get cable for free??? you know thats illegal right..LOL. I have road runner and digital cable for the tv so im not positive..but i think you might be able to get some channels of cable by doing that. You wont have digital multimedia because you have to have the box for your tv...

I have both also, but heres a little secret you probably don't know. One of my ex's work for a cable company, she is a phone operator, gets paid on comission. You call and ask to get hooked up, she gets a comission. You can also call and complain that you think you are paying to much for this service. If you tell them you are thinking of switching to satalite service they WILL lower your payment. She also gets a comission for this service as well. I have done this with my phone company as well, same principle I believe. Almost everything is negotiable when there are enuff competitors out there. You ever get those phone calls asking if you want to switch phone company's just come straight out and tell them what you want, more than likely if its reasonable they will go for it. I told them I didnt want to pay more than $20 a month for my phone service, I rarely use long distance but I have it, so my average bill is $20 a month.

I used to have the modem and decoder hooked up to the same line with a splitter but it keeps giving me too much line loss for the modem to work. I have to not use the splitter and swap the cable from the modem to the decoder now which means I can't ignore the commercials like I used to and surf the net at the same time.
