Not the best top mount Z tank I've seen, but its really hard to tell in the picture so we shouldn't judge. Otherwise seems like a good idea.

This is my buddies trike and he's had it forever! He just got tired of the maintainence of the original motor. This thing rips and is a ton of fun to ride! He is very knowledgable and has been a Powersports mechanic for years.

i would have left the smoker in there. that 250f engine barely makes enough power to power the bike let alone a trike

I don't think the engine is that bad an idea but I would have definitely kept it Yamaha in a Yamaha and built a custom tank

You smokin somethin? The CRF250 makes 35 horsepower. Roughly 3 times the power of a 200x. Guaranteed that trike hauls ass man, i would love to see it race a 250r.Originally Posted by 90nut

Well if you wanna be technical about it, i think you're being generous to the 200x, I've never seen anyone say that a 200x has 16hp stock(thats because they dont). Not to mention that most people equate the speed of a 200x to one that has a lot of hours on it, cuz thats what most people ride. 83-85 put out about 12 HP. 86-87 14 HP.
The crf engine is much more likely to be performing at peak stock levels considering the age of each engine.
No matter how you slice it its MORE than 2 times the power, at roughly the same weight, the point was it certainly makes more than enough power to be a FAST trike.
