    Lucas Transmission Fix

Can I use Lucas Trans fix in my Yamaha Tri Moto 175 automatic clutches to reduce/eliminate slippage?

    Thanks,
    Marc

Well said mexandian. The only thing I have to add is if regular automotive oil is used the clutch will slip and if it has been used for any length of time the clutch plates will glaze over and nothing you put in will help. You may want to consult with Barnett though, he is the resident oil/additive expert.

See post 2. I do a ton of car stuff and am EXTREMELY familiar with this exact product from Lucas and similar products from other mfg’s.

To be brief, they are about as effective in reducing severe transmission slippage as 2 bottles of STP or Motor Honey are at reducing severe engine smoke or as 2 cans of spray paint are at “rebuilding” an engine.

What the “bleep” is a “Mexandian”, is it someone that comes from “Mexandia”, if so where the “bleep” is that?

Actually, I believe DohcBikes is now assuming that position.

Although I personally use generic vegetable oils in some “applications”, I agree with DohcBikes and the others regarding their suggestions.

ZDDP is one of the best, if not the best anti wear agent known when it comes to protecting an engines moving parts

PS – I’m not beating on Lucas, I like the company and their employees, I used to walk into their building and buy stuff directly from them.

LOL what a funny thread to wake up to.....

Repairs are done with parts and/or tools, not magical fluid.

Do your clutch adjustments. If it still slips, inspect the clutch assembly, the cable, and even the clutch arm for wear and/or damage. Replace or repair components as necessary.

I totally would go into the oil info if I had both eyes open yet.....maybe barnett wants to explain all that after all

    Valvoline ATV oil works great!

I smell google translate. I am fluent in french and this doesnt really make much sense. translation (straight) "May I have an other bottle of type fisher of the french Alsace Mr. stealing a lowrider?"
Seems to make sense but the conjugation of "voler" (to steal) is wrong, and the french is too perfect. No person in their right french mind would talk this way.

Well, in the now famous/infamous words of the illustrious Fabiodriven, “It was a TYPO.”.

Besides, what kind of French person are you if you never heard of Fischer Biere d’ Alsace?
