    200X help

I've already found some issues with my X.

    First thing is first.
Something in my rear end is dragging, and I'm not sure what. What you pop the clutch, the machine starts slowing instantly like your applying the breaks.
When you ride, about every axle rotation, something catches and you can feel a little jerk from it.
At similar riding time something in the rear locks up for a period of time, and after awhile just comes free.
And I removed the rear caliper last night, and it was on the disk pretty tight.
And none of this is ever using breaks, the pedal is frozen too.

Also, somebody appears to have welded the chain tensioners on. Anything I should do about that?

So it sounds like your brake disc may be warped, in addition to the entire rear brake assembly likely needing a rebuild.

Did you ride it after you removed the rear brake? Be careful.
    If so, did it change?

Let's see pics of those adjusters, you may have some fun ahead of you

if it was fine before and you just installed new shoes and the axle was hard to spin after installation, the pads are too thick. buy orig honda pads.

    SOME OPTIONS ARE:

remove the pin from the pedal to the master

see if rear spins now, if not either your master is bad, your rear disc is bent or your caliper is seized up.

see if pedal moves freely now, if not remove and inspect.

rotate axle to see if it moves freely, if it gets tight in one spot only, your disc is bent.

I haven't rode it, Guess I won't even get a chance really for awhile, but I'll see if I can't squeeze some time in.

Wouldent mind seeing a picture of your chain tensioner. That sounds like a nightmare. If it still feels tight or is locking up without the caliper on then its gotta be the bearings i would imagine. Great thing is about florida there are no hills and most the terrain is either mud or sand, so no brakes are needed.

I had the exact same problem with my 83. Turns out the 5 stupid bolts (even with red loctite) on the sprocket came loose and were actually moving and hitting against the swingarm. You said every axle rotation something jerks. Bingo.
Locks up and comes free- loose bolt locks, moves after a while.
What did they weld on the tensioner? Weld it to the frame (grind welds off, snap tensioners off and buy new)? weld the nuts onto it (cut it off and buy new)?
In case thats not it, ride it without the caliper on.
