200x front wheel on a honda fat cat?

Hey guys first post here. My name is Shaun. I own a 1986 Honda fat cat.it runs great but needs plastics and tires. I have a few questions about what wheels will fit the fat cat.

Will a front wheel off of a 200x fit my fat cat on the front or rear? A guy I know has one for sale off a 200x at a good price. If it fits on the front or back of my fat cat I want to buy it. I have researched but come up empty. Thanks for looking everyone

I recall reading somewhere that the Fat Cat rim has a larger bolt pattern than the 200X but have not been able to find the specs to back that up!!

Very little documentation on the front wheel bolt pattern charts for the front of the Honda trikes (200x, 250r, 350x..fat cat)..

I know this isn't too helpful though..if I come across that thread or some spec data I'll be sure to forward it.

Assuming the bolt pattern is correct, will the front and rear axles accommodate the 200x rim?

It should..tire width is pretty similar between the machines.

Don't forget bout axle diameter and length. Don't forget about an entire frontend swap.

If you need 1st gen 200x measurements let me know.

Greetings fellow fatcatter. I have a micrometer and I will check mine tomorrow. I can say that the offset is 7 inch wide with a 3/4 split. Im getting ready to swap out my entire front end(forks triple brakes etc to have better suspension travel and disc brakes up front. Ok it was a llittle longer than my micrometer, but its about 192 mm. Your best bet would be to take both your rim and hub down to your local honda dealer, they will be able to tell you the exact mm and may be able to tell you if it interchanges with 200x. Youll make things alot more convenient if you go with a 12 inch front. As I recall (im not 100 percent on this 200x has 11 inch front rims.) The 12 inch rim offers a little better performance, and there are like 10 times as many tires available for it. Your other option as far as fitment goes would be to just bring your hub with you when you go to buy the x rim and see if it fits.

Can I ask a related question

I want to improve my 87 fat cat front end with better forks not to mention disc brake.

I have seen guys fit the 350X triples to the fatcat so I know that works

My question is can I use the 350x hub and bolt that to the fatcat front rim?

The issue would be the hub bolt spacing - did Honda have the same spacing across its trikes?

    Any help would be appreciated
