    200es review.?

What can ya'll tell me about the 84 200es? I might be getting one in a few days and want to know what kind of abuse they can handle. thinking of using it for a fishing trike. this thing is mechanically sound but the owner painted it "camo"
    Edit: its an 87 200es not 84

The 1984 200ES BIG RED is a tank! Very reliable and shaft driven, I love it! Front and rear cargo racks are very handy in hauling your fishing equipment and cooler. Electric start with reverse , HI and LO range transmission is great ! Also a great bike to attach a snow plow to and mine came with a trailer hitch. Great work horse next to it's big brother 250ES , very durable. Stock speed is about 45-50 mph and they can take a beating with no worry of the chain and sprockets, the first year of the shaft drive. Here is my beast that I restored, All OEM HONDA except for the front fender , Harlan Lysne decals , 250ES OHTSU tires/ITP rear rims , aftermarket seat cover and thumb throttle!

Just noticed your edit,, HONDA did not make a 1987 200ES, are you sure it's not a 1987 250ES?

Oh fawk yeah it is! First of all, it's a Honda so it will run great for a very long time. 87ES is a great machine. It's obviously a work horse but one of the guys I ride with in NH rides one and he goes anything but slow. My SX is the sportier machine but I'll be damned if I ever pass him.
