Upgraded my compressor fittings last night

I got tired of the leaky POS Menards/HF/Northern ElCheapo (No offense ElCamexican ) fittings and chucks. A buddy of mine told me the Milton brand of connectors/couplers and accessories was the way to go, so I found them at Northern tool and picked up enough to refit my compressor and tools. Well, almost enough. I forgot about my nail guns. :I

I went with Miltons "V" style. They are high flow connectors. Here is a pic: ElCheapo type on the left, Milton type V high flow on the right:

Another nice feature is that the Milton type V coupler stays locked open until you connect an accessory. All you have to do is pop a tool in and it self locks, no having to pull back on the collar.

The V style coupler also accepts the M and A style connectors, but you lose the high flow capability of the V style connectors.

I'm sure some of the members already new all of this, but I figgered I post it up for those who didn't know like me. :P

Call me anything you want, just don't call me late for dinner!

I picked up all of my fittings at Northern tool. They were in their own little section apart from the ElCheapo stuff. You can find them online too, even thru Northern tool. Ebay has some stuff too, but with a Northern so close I saved a little bit of money by avoiding the shipping charges.

They make them for both 1/4 NPT and 3/8 NPT

    Northern tool:

    Here 's some on ebay:

Just make sure you get them in Milton packaging. Don't fall for the Milton "style" cheapos

I don't know if mine are Miltons or not, but they accept all three types of fittings which is huge. I was so sick of swapping fittings... Who's the genius that created three different fittings in the first place? I was working with my buddy temporarily, he's a traveling mechanic. I told him for weeks to get the new fittings as we were constantly switching them around. Finally I couldn't take any more and I bought them for him out of my pocket. Drives me nuts.
