I'm new to this site; Hi All

Hi everyone! I haven't owned or ridden a three wheeler in a long time. I learned on a 1983 Honda Big Red when I was 8. By the time I was 12 my dad gave me the three wheeler. During this time we also owned a Honda 200S and the infamous 350X. By the time I was 17 we had sold all of our three wheelers and moved on to the four wheeler world. Recently I was able to trade a 2000 400ex for a 1985 350X! I missed it and wanted to relive the thrill of riding a three wheeler again. This 350X is in pretty good condition and has all original parts; original paint, stickers, front and rear fenders, tires, seat, everything. It shows that it's almost 30 years old but it still runs. It smokes and leaks oil. My question - is this bike worth more the way it sits because it's all original or would it be worth more re-building the top end and putting all new bushings, paint and stickers on it? What the proper way of restoring or rebuilding these guys?

    Thanks For Your Time Guys

    Anthony

Everyone on here has their own opinion on how to do this right. Personally if the bike is solid and smooth I would leave everything alone and just do a top end for the motor and keep enjoying it. Got any pics of her? Welcome to the boards!

Thanks Jason B; it could use new swing arm bushings and new carrier bearings. My first thought was to tear the entire bike apart down to each bolt (other than tearing the motor all apart) and clean the entire machine. While it was apart replace any bushings or bearings that are worn out. Also though about giving the frame a new coat of paint along with the tank and replacing any stickers that are worn out it missing. I have mixed feelings about it. The trike definiely needs a little TLC before I can ride it on the trails.
