    250r front forks too soft

I was wondering if anyone knows of any tricks to make the front forks on a 1986 250r stiffer. i recently started racing with calvmx and the old school forks cannot withstand my abuse. Racing on a motocross track with jumps has me taxing the suspension to the max as i am blowing through the cycle and bottoming out quite often. So far I have tried 15 weight fork oil and a 3/4 inch spacer to put more tension on the fork springs. This has helped signifigantly although I'm still looking for more improvement. Any imput would be much appreciated.

Buy a new set of progressive fork springs off of ebay. And also try a little heavier oil. Also try putting 5 to 10 psi of air in the forks, should help a lot. If all fails talk to BDT racing they can help you out.

Ok great, I did not realize you could still get springs for the front forks. I'll definitly try heavier oil and adding a few psi to the forks. Thank you for the advice, it is much appreciated.

    piin it to win itt!!
