    my 1985 atc 250r mild resto?

    well im new here and I figure it would be cool to post my resto/makeover im not going all out but I have already spent 500$ plus in parts. so here it is

    Nice trike ! ! I'm waiting for an 86 at the right price and I'll be riding red again. But good to see another one saved. Whoop whoop!

    I paid 700$ with a clean title i thought it was fair maybe not but i love atc's and could not leave it where it was

    so i made some more progress no pics yet but its a bare frame now. all my new plastics came in should not say all new im gonna keep on rocking the shaved rear fenders i like em. but new shrouds front fender a oem tank in amazing condition i scored for 40$ bucks, new front tire new rear tires some better handle bars i hate low pro bars like the ones that were on it, and the list goes on. does anyone know of what paint would be best for my motor just want it black again thanks in advance

    I have had good luck painting my engines with plain old Rustoleum gloss black brush on paint.

    Get the parts to be painted clean clean clean. Take your time, use a small modeling brush about 1/2" wide. Another trick that seemed to do some good was putting on 4 coats and letting each coat bake well next to the wood stove for 3 or 4 hours.
