Put a six pack rack on and carry extra gas. Then you can test the limits. I could ride all day for miles on my 350x on a tank.
My R, one big SMILE per gallon.

Although not to the same extent as Camexican's rides, where I ride it is kind of important to know about how much MPG I get on my R or else I will be taking the ride of shame back to camp on the bad end of the tow strap!
My big bore R requires 108 octane minimum and where I ride it is absolutely NOT available at any of the fuel stops. The only place I can get it is when we are on our way to Tug Hill at a place that is legally inaccessible via ATV.
Where I ride, you can turn a 150 mile day without much trouble.
I have to say, the MPG question really can be a relevant one. I don't lose sleep over it, but I have learned what I can expect out of my machines for mileage and can calculate our route for the day in a way that allows me to avoid the tow of shame... I would hate to have people see a good ol trike on the end of the tow strap no matter what the reason! LOL!

What is it with peoples attitudes here? If the thread doesnt pertain to you then why would you post in it? Most of you that act this way on here, being arrogant and belittling peoples ideas and questions all the time, wouldn't last too long in my crowd. Just sayin'.
Now back to the extremely valid question.
Definitely nice to see a mpg thread since I ride mine on the highway. My street built 200x will get 75mpg if I really baby it on a trip. It runs 14/38 gearing as opposed to the stock 12/40, and my rear tires are 20x7-8 so not much following resistance. Also the bike is extremely low to the ground so that helps.
My sx and big red can cover 80 miles on trails up and down hills and still have half a tank of fuel. However my 350x not so much - at 80 miles she was running on fumes and coasted the way back however I was pulling wheelies and throwing mud roost every other second.
Riding it like I stole it, which is pretty much how it always gets ridden, 18-22mpg on a built Tecate. I have a Trailtech vapor that is calibrated fairly closely. I had considered switching it over to my 500, but that bike is leaving, so no need. But the 500 seems like a gas hog.

well I checked it with my gps and I am getting roughly 45 mpg I ride it pretty hard too so not sure what it would be if I babied her. but just in case I carry two 2 liter bottles of gas in a backpack (yes im aware its not safe but I have been doing it for many years when I finally blow up you can all say "I told you so")my ytm 200 and 225 dx get a bit better gas milage than my x but that could be because I don't rag em as bad as the x. my x gets better than my 200s but the 200s burns oil and needs a rebuild.
