    Question Stud Torque

So this 8mm stud backed out and I'm wondering if the nut gets 25-29 ft lbs then how much does the stud plus locktite get torqued to?

FYI the stud goes into the case and keeps the head on.

    Thanks in advance.

If you loctite it, double nut it and torque it to about 30 to 35 you should be fine. Even if a stud turns with a nut you are still tightening the head equal to the other nuts as long as the wrench is clicking at some point.

    service manual
may have torque specs if you can click on it.
There are also standard torques for various
stud diameters and what they are going into.
Grade 8 bolts? thread pitch etc.
standard shear pin stuff, coarse, fine etc too.

    What engine?
