    1987 125m HELP

I am looking at a 1987 125m and thinking about purchasing it. It is in very good condition from what I can tell from the pictures and sellers description. My first question is concerning the rims and hubs. I would like to be able to change the hubs so that the bolt pattern would be 4/110 so that I may use a 9 or 10 inch one piece aluminum rim and therefore have much better tire options. So what bike has a 4/110 hub that would fit the 1987 125m axles? Another question is what is this bike worth? The guy is asking 1500$ which seems a bit on the high side to me.

Paid 300 for mine in similar looking condition. But have seen them go for 1500 on ebay. They are rare. Any honda hub will fit the axle. Splines are all same. I used 200x on mine but 250r will work too. Only one you cannot change is front. You need to try and find rim for that bolt pattern.

Ok great! Thanks for the info. I'll let you know if I am able to get it for a little better price. What type of rim did you end up using for the front on yours?

Why not just buy itp steel painted rims in the stock size that's what I have on my 86 and look almost just ljke the original and only cost 26 dollars a piece on rocky mountain atv .com. they look really good on my bike. I've seen that bike on craigslist if I had the money I would definatly go and buy it. It is my favorate trike out of them all. oh and ps just use the original rim on the front and paint it because it has to be a centered rim I learned this the hard way.

for the time being I am running a stock front. but I am sure someone makes one. I am probably going to put the stock ones back on after I powder coat them. really want to keep the bike original because it is so clean and so rare. it does look really nice with the shiny wheels though.

Yea it looks good my bike is really clean probally just as clean or cleaner than the one in the pic. The problem was the people who had it before me which was my cousin who died and that's who I obtained the bike put tubes in the rear tires and they were all rusted on the inside so I had to replace them when I got new tires. if you do go get it I dont think you will be disapointed because this bike is like no other honda trike you will ever ride. And yes those are the 86 graphics but there is another 87 I know of with the 86 graphics and the ad says reconditiond tank so could be a used tank that they fixed.

I offered 750. Guy told be only work done to the bike was gas tank redone.. That may mean gas tank replaced... Or year incorrect. Guy turned my offer down but I will hit him with the gas tank not being origional 87 in a few days. Thanks for y'all's help. If I did get it I would def hang on to the old rims for when I go to sell.. Thanks again
