I didnt realize but there is no knurled surface for the clamps to bite on its smooth. I am putting these n my 350x will the clamps hold these or am I gonna have to rough them up myself?

I'm trying to remember, but cut me a little slack because I haven't wrenched on my trikes all winter... But I'm pretty sure I have a set like that and have no issues.
Just make sure they are good and tight without breaking your bolts and that the caps are tightened evenly. Once mounted up and tight, simply give em a tug and see how easy they pivot or if they don't pivot at all. If they hold well when you pull on them, they should be OK for normal riding.

I used to assemble bike at the local Honda shop as my first real job. The procedure was to tighten the front bolts then tighten the rear bolts.

I've heard of people putting a dimple in the bars where the clamps will be with a center punch, setting a BB in the dimple then clamping it down. The BB will dent into the bars and keep them from turning. I don't think you will have any problems though.
It will be fine, I set my bars up snug, to the point that if I stand up and pull hard I can move them. That way if you have a roll over the bars slip and not bend or break. I do this with the levers and throttle also. Old racer thing from when I raced cross country. Also if you get arm pump or thumb cramps while on long ride you can reposition the throttle for a break and new arm position.

It will be fine. If these are the bars made by MSR or Tusk or Whatever, be aware that the bigger problem is that some models handle bar clamps outer edge is into the curve and thats BAD. They will crack right there.
For the "I had these 10 years and there fine...." You probably are not an aggressive rider and jumper.........
I have a picture somewhere if your not sure what I mean. The upward curve is just a hair to close, must be flat all thru the bar clamps, no curve.
All our government does is distract us while they steal from us, misspend our tax $ and ruin our country
I've seen a lot of people running bars like dirtcrasher described. "Clamped in the radius" Very dangerous.
Yep, very good point Steve and Stroberts!
The ATC's seem to need wider bars than most bikes and quads due to the wider clamp spacing.. I too have seen my share of cobbled on bars that the clamps are clamping on the radius or the bars as they bend upward. Not only unsafe, but at the very least a good way to snap a clamp bolt off in your triple clamp top.
