    ATC 110 stuuuupid problem!!

Alright so this engine is actually in a CT70, I bought it like that, ran mint!!.. didn't even really ride it yet because I bought it wen winter started. Took it out yesterday for the first time, I leant it against a tree and then it tipped on its side and wen I went to start it up engine was really hard to turn with the pull start, like something was grinding, didn't understand. So I took it appart the pull start and two of the three pins that engage to the fly wheel were missing. So I took of the fly wheel and there those two pieces were, jammed in-between the stator and fly wheel only cranked on the engine once but it was enough to damage de fly wheel and stator that it would not produce spark anymore.
I have a few pics to show you cuz if the stator would be fixable or something.
Theres a place it broke of some of the plastic where you can see the coper wires or whatever they are lol the magnets also have damage.
Also if someone has these parts for cheap it would be awesome!! (fly wheel and stator)
    Thanks!!

Generic exciter coils are carried by Kimpex and should be available through your local Honda dealer. I just put one on a Big Red, cost around $15.00. You will have to solder the wire on though.

I hate to break the bad news but if you want to ride old machines you're going to have to learn a lot about doing your own repairs. It's just the nature of the beast unless you have lots of coin for dealers. You can test your old exciter with a ohm meter. I don't know what the spec is off hand but it should be in the manual that covers that motor. That test is as simple as disconnecting the wire from the harness that is attached to the exciter, set your meter to 2000 ohms, clip the black wire from the meter to a good ground and stick the end of the red lead from the meter into the disconnected wire from the exciter. You should probably see 100-400 ohms if it's still good. Manuals are free to download from this site.

Before I joined this site I didn't even know how to do the simplest of tasks. The great part is, everyone here will help you and most of these guys have done it hundreds of times. So if you have questions, you simply ask. I still don't know everything, but slowly I am learning as stuff breaks and I need to replace it. Download a manual, it will have step by step instructions, and further problems start a thread like you did. No other way but to dive into it yourself.
