    Tire question!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Can I replace my 25x12-9 tires on my 83 Honda 200, with 22x11-9 tires?
    Who has done this before?
    And can I see pictures?

I would just like a little better handling and rear wheel well space under the fender.

    Thanks!

The 83 Big Red 200 was the only ATC200 with 25" tires..all the rest had 22x11x8.

Essentially the same trike..the only difference between was the chain sprocket gearing.

So for you to swap to a smaller tire is fine..with the higher ration sprockets meant for bigger tires you will lose a bit of top end speed, but gain some power.

It will basically look like the ATC200s..

I've owned two 1983 atc200 that weren't big reds and both had original tires that were 25x12x9. They were just the plain 200, not an E, or S.

You could swap the rear hubs..I've been told the 84-85 200x hubs are a direct bolt on and they change the bolt pattern to a much more common 4/110. This really opens up rim/tire choices for the rear at least.

The front hub is a no go..no direct fit swaps that I have been able to find.

I can confirm that the 83-85 200x hubs will work. They are available as new repros too. Nice looking,
