1985 Yamahauler Top End Rebuild

Hey guys,

Decided to finally rebuild my 1985 Yamaha 200er. I checked the compression and it only had about 55psi and it burns quite a bit of oil, so I decided to pull it apart. I'm going to put a 67.5 piston in, bore the cylinder, and have the valves done. Who do you guys recommend for this kind of work? I have done business with Greg, from Cycle Works Racing, and I have done business with Leer's Cycle Center. What do you guys think?

I'm going to be ripping one apart one day lol
Needs tranny rebuilt (90%) sure lol. Got most parts to do it aside from gasket kit and a few other odds n ends
Just need space to do it

Hey guys,
I ran into some trouble today. Since the motor was siezed when I got it, I decided to replace the cam chain. Must be easier said than done. Spent the better part of two hours using a three jaw puller and a three bolt puller, and I can't get the flywheel to even budge. Any body else run into this??

use the proper flywheel puller or you might damage it if you haven't already.

Hey guys,
Good news, I finally got the flywheel off! I had to build my own flywheel puller out of a 1/4 inch plate and some bolts. All the parts have arrived for the rebuild. The piston, cylinder, and head have all been sent out to Arnold Motor Supply to be bored and fitted. Its going back together soon!

I actually used a 10" 2 jaw puller with the arms off of a 4" 2 jaw puller when I replaced the generator on my 225dx
