1982 Atc 110 sticky throttle help

My atc 110's throttle sticks open and I don't know how to fix it. And help would be greatly appreciated.

Best thing to start with is take the top cap off the carb that the cable goes through, one you have the cap and the slide off and out of the carb check the spring and try moving the throttle, does the slide move towards the cap and then return? Could be a bad cable sticking, a sticky throttle up on the handlebars, or even a weak spring on the slide.

I would almost bet on a worn throttle cable though, easy to replace and not that expensive.
