    Rusted Seat Pan Repair

Some of these trike seat pans are hard to find in good or better shape. Some of us have used fiber glass to "fix" cancerous pans, however I've found a process that is IMHO better, using a zinc metal spray. Take a look at a media blasted pan before the process and the result. The "rebuilt" pan's metal appears to be just as solid as the base metal. So, maybe this could be another alternative to glass and trying to weld up the holes or "glassing".

BTW Before they started I told them that the surface of the seat which was next to the foam wasn't critical, however the other surface needed to be fairly nice but not perfect.

Cost, they'll give you an estimate. They've fixed pans in worse shape than mine.

It's not a do-it-yourselfer. Their site explains the process.

Here's the link to the folks that did it for me. http://www.americanstrippingsacramento.com/ Their site explains the process.
