    350x rear shock adj.

My 85 350x rear shock's rebound is set too stiff. Which knob is for rebound and how do i adjust the rebound so it isnt trying to eject me off the bike?

turn the knob on the shock body, [not the reservoir] to a lower number to reduce the rebound damping.

if your shock is not "packing down" over consecutive bumps, turn the knob on the shock body, [not the reservoir] to a higher number to increase the rebound damping.

More than likel your 29 year shock could use a rebuild. The gas is more than likely gone. You won't see too much help with adjusting anything. The spring is doing all the work.Having a shock redone is usually covered under a rebuild. It isn't very exspensive unless the shaft is bent.Your front forks should be service also. Then again with the monster tires you won't notice much improvement.Whatever you didn't rebuild or replace will fail once you start riding it.So you should start replacing those items now.
