Most of you will not recognize the name Phil Beckman, and for those of you that do recognize the name, i'll bet you cant remember where you know the name from. Phil Beckman was a photographer and writer for Dirtwheels magazine and former editor of 3Wheelin magazine back in the 1970's and 1980's. To me, having my photo taken by Phil Beckman is like being shot by Annie Leibovitz.

and what a hell of a photo he took..

i had to purchase the rights to this photo as well as order a big glossy print out.

here's to vanity...and to paying $20 for the rights to share this photo haha!

Really nice shot. His remote flash setup really brings out the details. Its cool when you can see your eyes in detail. The shutter speed is so fast it freezes the roost and the knobbys. Click image for larger version.

That is an absolutely awesome picture. As an aspiring photographer, I can only hope to be that good one day.

Quality photos like that go with the race results and write ups here on the board is what I had always envisioned.

    Great great work

What a great pic, capturing quality action photos takes skill and good equipment. Of course nothing like being there to watch, priceless.....

I'm not lying. I looked at the picture, read a post, went back, looked at the picture again, read the next post, etc untill I was out of posts.
