    Smile This poor 350x... LOOK!

Hello everyone, I've been a member here for a while now, havent posted much, But I had to share this ... I've been a die hard 3 wheeler fan for a long time, I've had 5 200x's, 3 250r's and lots of other ones... But never been able to get my hands on my dream wheeler, a 350x... I found a post on Craigslist for a 350x that someone welded an lt 230 4 wheeler front end on! I talked to the guy for a few weeks and he finally agreed to trade me for my 83 250r, straight up!! Needless to say i will be converting it back!! Lol. The original front end came with it, but the forks were stuck down.. I took them apart and cleaned them, I need to get new seals, boots and oil, and they'll be good to go.. Also, I have a good friend that gave me a frame, swingarm and headlight for painting his 350x tank (and some other parts) before I even got the x, so I'm in the process of gusseting the frame he gave me, I work in a body shop and paint cars , so I'll BC/CC the frame and switch all parts over to that one once its done.. And then All i need is steering stem bearings, and stuff i mentioned for forks. The previous owner also recently rebuilt the motor with a weisco lightweight piston, it has a Barnett clutch, and twist throttle. It came with a plastic tank but id like to get a metal one, so im keeping my eyes open for one in any shape.. As i said I Work in a bodyshop, and ive done quite a few tanks before, so i can restore one if needed.. I dont have a ton of money so this is gonna be a budge build, if anyone could help me out with cheap parts I'd really appreciate it.. And I'm lookin for feedback or any suggestions from you guys thanks for looking! Oh, and I'll post updates and pics as I go along

Wow! That poor trike. Why would anyone do that? I'm glad your gonna put back to her original beauty. 4 wheels is not an improvement from 3. Jeez, some people.

OK, I'll be "that guy" it looks kinda cool... it's a pity that it was taken apart and forced to be a 4 wheeler, but under the right circumstances like if the original front end had gotten ran over by a steam roller or something like that then it could be cool. But it's awesome your turning it back into a three wheeler. I've got a 350x it's the best all round trike I've owned. I mx race mine and take it out on the trails. Sounds like your going about it the right way starting over with a new strengthened frame.
    I'm bringing the 80's back!

The reason the guy converted it to a quad was because he was doing a wheelie, came down and the forks stuck down, there wasn't even anything wrong with the frame... And if u saw the booger welds this guy did u would probably think different lol. I got my new frame finished and painted yesterday, I'll take pics when I get to the shop. Thank you all for your feedback, it is much appreciated

You might want to consider putting some springs in those forks.

I was thinking about new springs, took the forks apart and the were full of dirt and mud! Lol I cleaned them up and put them back together temporarily (til I can get new seals) and the springs seem to be alright.. I might just replace them while I have them apart for the seals tho. Thanks fd. Anyways here's the frame, dark metallic blue with pear in the clear, it came out great, going with white and blue with red accents for the color scheme..
