Well I figured it out. The adjuster was frozen. I did not realize that it was threaded I thought it was a smooth shaft I got that freed up. The trike was only going into first because I had the shift lever on the wrong spline inside the clutch cover I got it in the correct place and it all seems to be good. Im still playing with the adjustment but it seems to be riding and shifting nice.

Excellent!! Lots of open ended threads here, good to see a report back and a solution.

Yea well after not getting any replies on here for over 24 hours I just concluded no one had any more help for me so I sat down in front of the trike with both the owners manual and service manual opened on my computer and took it apart put it together and took it back apart until I figured it out. Going out for a ride in about an hour to test my progress.

Sometimes, that is the only thing that can be done. Educational and self rewarding in the end. A job well done.

Took it for a 4 hour ride yesterday and all went well. I actually got to try high range on it for the first time too. That little 110 sure can boogie down the road
