    87 200X OEM Restore (Now completed!- more pics added)

    Without further delay…Finally time to get to this crazy expensive build! This one is getting the full NOS treatment (or as least as much as I have been able to get my hands on in the last 5 years including fenders, seat, headlight garnish, etc...) Every nut and bolt is NOS. I had the frame powder coated and it seems it is a dead match for the Honda Passion Red. The powder color is called Mirror Red. Also, the rear axle restore was done by Mike from VMS.

    Progress so far:

    The whole point of NOS is that it isnt available anymore.

    N = New
    O = OLD
    S = Stock

    The rims are NOS 86 350x rims. (I prefer to use these period correct wheels instead of ordering the replacement part number DID wheels with the "fatter" lip and the new date codes). Like yourself, I just can't find a set of correct date coded 87 rear wheels that are nice enough. I may try to restore the original wheels but it is going to be tough because there is a section in the middle of one that is fairly scraped up, so its not just the lip.

    Nevertheless, the search continues. In the meantime, it will need to be a Canadian version...

    More progress...

    Some of these items have not seen the light of day for a while. It's been fun putting them on. The dash was original on the bike and it was mint. The only thing I did was clean it and replace the key cylinder part because that part had some scratches on it from the key over the years.
