Looking to Buy: Honda ATC 250 SX

I'm new to this forum... and this may not be the most appropriate thread to post my question, so feel free to re-direct me to the most appropriate thread.

I'm looking to buy a Honda ATC 250 SX (preferably a 1987 model). I know these are highly sought after and often demand a premium price. Not many are available on Craigslist or ebay, so I was hoping to find some help here. Does this forum (or perhaps others) have a "wanted to buy" section that might be able to help me out?

Welcome..you won't be disappointed if you find one of these. The SX is a great trike..

There is a section for this but as a new member I don't think you'll be able to post there until your 2month probation is done.

This post will circulate well enough..the real problem is of course location. We are widely spread and trying to ship trikes across borders and states is expensive.

I suggest you keep an eye on your local CL and keep your money in your wallet..when a nice one shows up. Run like hell!!

That is what I do and it's worked out pretty well!!

I agree with everything that Doug has said. But, if you are going to limit yourself to just the 87 model year, prepare to wait a tad longer to find one, because as you said, and already know they are a little harder to find. 87's are cool, but I find no faults in either one of my 85's.

I already have an '85 model which I restored a few years ago. I would now like to find an '86 or '87 to complete my "collection".

Thanks for the links... I picked one up about two weeks ago near Kansas City. An '86 model in good condition. Working on a restoration now.

I'll get some pics up soon. I'm not a techie, and I've got to figure out how to post the pics from Picassa, which is the photo program I use to upload pics from my phone and/or camera to my PC.

Here's a pics of my '85 which is mostly done. I still need a front brake caliper and cable and an aluminum rim for the front with the correct offset/spacing.
