Just finished spliting a 350x case to shaft the output shaft that was stripped.
Found a piece of aluminum in the bottom end. Its from the clutch case side. The kickstart shaft goes threw the case, on the inside of the case there is a little steel pin. The piece of aluminum I found is broken off of there. The pin was bent over 45 degrees. Just wondering how this would happen?/what this pin does. I am assuming the kickstart shaft was not aligned properly with the kickstart cam, And I am assuming the pin is just a stop for the kickstart cam??

Could I jb weld this piece back on and be ok? I will try and get a picture up.
