Question Kust Picked up a KLT250C Prarie To restore. No Spark, Pics soon!

This Kawi is so different from my honda's its an alien to me lol. $200 In it so far. its all original and complete, and other than being a barn trike its in decent shape. At the moment there is no spark, and compression is low, speedometer shows 1707miles (or KM) I didn't pay close attention. Anyway, its so nice I want the beauty back in action so I'm hoping to restore it. Found the wiring diagram on here, gonna tear into it tomorrow and see what I can find, any ideas on wht to check into as a familiar with this machine issue will be much appreciated.

disassemble the keyed ignition, on my klt 200 the keyed ignition was corroded and prevented spark and cranking, but mine was electric start only.
rectum nothin damn near killed them
feel free to leave feed back for me here. http://www.3wheelerworld.com/showthr...06#post1119306

I have one that I am probably going to end up parting out if you need any parts. It is in good shape and not missing anything. Doesn't run and someone has done some serious troubleshooting on it and labeled all wires. So I would have to test electrical components before selling. Overall a nice trike though. Just have too many projects.

I tore into it today, inside the engine looks good, but with the valve lash it has I'm betting it never got serviced... ever. The Air-filter was the stock, original in it from the factory one and was a little more than powder as bad as it was dry rotted, some of the bolts are so rusted the heads are crumbling, Rust in other places is bad enough that I feel theres no way its set less than 5 years.

I need to know what the pick-up should resistance should be and resistance at the coil. I can test ignition switch, good idea there, didnt even consider it lol. Its rough on the outside, but as nice as it looks inside I'm optimistic it will run fairly well once I get all the kinks worked out. The differential locks in and out so well it surprised me, clutch is super smooth too. Other than front break work (new pads and new cable and lubing pivot points and cleaning, when it fires its ready to go once I get an air filter and change the oil. Even the carburetor seemed prepped for storage. All jets were clear and open, even the little airjets up front were flowing nicely.

I need to know float height if anyone has it handy too, I'm sure they need set after 30 years of gravity.

I worry about fuel pump, but hoping its not electric, I see the wiring has a terminal named fuel pump, but when I look it up on the parts fiche it looks like a vacuum fuel pump, and if so Mikuni has some cheap ones!, haven't got that far into it yet. Once I see spark I'll go through the fuel system.

Nice on the outside. Yep, Combs PS, They are FOS lol. Tried to say it was running 2 years ago and they bought it at the flea market near there... This trike was in a barn somewhere and had been for a decade or better. Been restoring things for 20 years now and this thing is the worst I've picked up yet. Nice on the outside (plastics anyway) but as soon as the skin came off it was a hole different story Everything that could dry rot has and is crumbling. The fuel inlet on the carb even crumbled, the tank vent on the gas tank has crumbled, the bolt that holds the airbox in is crumbling, as are the 4 bolts that hold the tank on top... Motor seems sound other than insane valve lash and an obvious lack of maintenance, its leaking around oil drain plug lol. Chain was rusted solid, sprockets look new and the chain is a modern o-ring type but was unusable. Its a basket case at best. Definitely a negative investment... lol.

Best things about about it are definitely seat and plastics.

Guy felt so bad he was selling it he through in an atc70 roller with a 110cc Chinese motor on it that needs completing... lol. Little 70 has busted plastics and rotted tires but the engine is complete and even has the carb and a twist throttle, just needs a filter and the exhaust and fender modded to allow a rearward kick lol I have tires for it, and might get to it next but id let it go for a lil of nothing...
