got a chance to snag a near mint alt 50.........

same guy i bought two 250 big reds from a few days back also has a very clean, all original alt 50, wanted to find out what the going rate is on a real nice original and are any of the three years of models produced that hold more value than the others, any help would be great, thanks ahead of time............

I got mine for 150 missing the pull start and front fender. Mines a 1982 model, I don't think any one is more desirable than the other..... We'll if it's near mint that makes it more desirable,,, lol

Usually when someone says near mint they are full of it. That is very near mint.

There is a restrictor under the intake tube a swell as the one in the exhaust.

Looks like a great little machine. What did you pay for it if you done mind me asking?

i gave 700. for it, might be a little much, but most of the alt 50's i've come across always need the big dollar parts, even if you get a good price then add the pricey parts, you might as well go for a nice one if you can find one in nice shape, which is what i did...........

Fromy fender would fetch well over 100 bucks alone. Nice pulsart 125.00 plus. That little fella is in the 600 dollar range easily...

wanted to ask, are the restrictors right at the port opening/exit, and are they just a small port gasket or blocking plate?............

It's a thin aluminum plate under the intake tube.

had a chance to run the trail buddy around the yard yesterday, seams to run very well, kinda wondering if the restrctors have already been removed, runs good enough that i'm going to leave it as it is, only thing that was missing on this is the trail buddy decal for the number plate, and i've already got a set coming for it, it also has one small chip in the upper throttle case that i'd like to replace, let me know if any of you guys might have a good one that you could part with, a couple more pics..............Click image for larger version.
