Will it start when you pull start it? If so then it's not in neutral.
Rock it back and forth and down shift (depending on year you might need to upshift) until the light comes on. If that does not happen then it is something else and I have no experience with that one. But have no fear, 3 wheeler world is here. And someone will help.

it doesn't have a rope on the recoil starter...

I played with it this morning and its in neutral as it rolls forward and backward. I tried running it down through some gears and back up to neutral, but still can't get a light.

This happened to me once before when I wanted to ride and couldn't get the light to come on, tried it few mins later and it worked. Just figured maybe it just sat for a few weeks and forgot about it. In this case I had just ridden it around the yard a couple mins before. And now its the following day and still no light.

Seems to me its a key/ignition/electrical thing that's not telling the trike that its ready to go

edit: the key ignition is a little shaky and feels loose, but the wiring is all connected as it appears it should be. I wonder if it could be a wiring issue where the tranny is not telling the ignition its in neutral

Your neutral safety switch is bad or you have a short in the wire. Don't know how the 200m is wired but I know some of our trikes have the wire partially exposed on the underside and if you did some hard riding its possible some brush or something yanked the wire either out or enough to short it. Look at the manual and run down your neutral safety wire to the tranny. Look for cuts or sign of damage all the way down. Let us know what you find.

ok just an update (and apology for being stupid)... Being a smart person I finally took the seat up to check the battery connection and fuse. I found many places in the red wire (neutral safety switch wire?) where the copper is exposed and while fiddling with it i must have touched one area to the frame because it sparked. I replaced the bad wire and crimped it all up nice and tight and GREEN LIGHT!

    Thanks for the help guys
