Cool Moving on from the 350X....

    Yes, this may sound shocking:

At 210lbs, even with all the suspension work on my RX, I find I can flick the 87 200X around like chicken. That aftermarket brace on top of the lower fork tubes makes this front end soak up allot. If I have to, I'll put 35mm 250R front end on it.

The 350X is much more powerful but the 12:1 200X is a rocket ship. Many thanks to Jason Hall with his jetting help (he doesn't have to think, he makes CHANGES!!).

The drags, I never reached 4th gear. The 35 rear sprocket killed it. I run a 38 now and I can run my track in 3rd

The MX, I was fine but so weak and not quite healed yet, yep, I'm getting old.

I'm just in love with this 86/87 200X that is far superior than the 83-85 200X (Sorry, like it or start your own thread)

What is it? 40#s lighter?? It is just so flickable (yes, thats my word) and I'll post up a video soon......

And, I can build 2 more!!

I know what you mean. I have both also and I just love the 86-87 200x. The lighter weight and lower center of gravity make it feel like a bmx bike under you if that makes any sense. You can just be totally nuts on it, whip it around and shred. I have the durablue on my 86 and a plus 2.5 oem extended swingarm. Helps lower my chances of launching my 40+ year old a** into a cactus or something with thorns!

Hey, if the shoe fits... I've always wanted a 2nd gen 200x. Always liked the look, the chassis, and the engine. I had a 200sx (same top end, sans cam I think) and it was a blast + indestructible. If you are interested, I have an 87 frame with forks and triples. I'd really like to get rid of it.

NIIIIIIIICE buddy. I could not give any less of a faahk what you ride. glad to hear you're riding. hope the bad is behind you and smooth trail ahead. i owe you an old back pack, three bud ice, and twelve yellowish-white zip ties!! i'll pay up on the next ride. oh ya. i also like the 200x. its often abused, misused, ratted and discarded. its the baby of MX trikes, really. but they were the nuts when i was a kid wheeling my 110 and looking at the brochure, dreaming. they're the nuts now. its all perspective. i know its been said a thousand times, but think of the improvements from 1st gen to second. leaps and bounds. imagine what would be if they kept going.

I can only find the air filters from your trikes, when I clean my air filter. The rest turns into Cosmos.......

Yep, that was it and believe me it does barely fit in there; How I did it, I'd have to re-learn.....

For a quick second there I thought you were going to say you'd gotten a hold of a 2 stroker, but I remembered hearing/reading about how you're a committed 4 stroke man, hehe. I've owned both, and I love the 1st gens, I really do. There's so much more available for them to this day, but the 2nd gens handle so much better.
Anyone who's ridden your '86(I got to ride it, but it was in the snow) will tell you, it's the most badass 2nd gen around!

I started hoarding all the 2nd gen parts back in 2007 and have quite a bit.

I'm getting the tank painted and adding 87 graphics and a switch. I also have a set of carbon fiber plastic for it.

When I get the tank back, I'll post up some pics.

The motor is silent, just like the day I built it!!

I'm gonna build another motor; Find a way to get another rod on a good crank and stroke it. And have Jason Hall port this one for me.

Last is looking into a rear Works shock for it.

Lots of stuff coming up for sure......

Sounds good. I've got a Work's shock on my 86. I think its pretty good so far although a bit softer that I expected it to be. They ask you questions like how heavy are you with gear and if you have extended swingarms and what type of riding you do, etc...
