    Final Drive Emergency

Guys I was just changing the final drive oil on my sx and I broke the cap putting it back on... And now I can't find anywhere that sells it, does anyone have a spare? Or can you tell me where to get one? And this may be a stupid question but can I run the bike just to load it up with that cap on?

Put a piece of duct tape over the hole to load it up.

Yes, I've ordered from Service Honda. They have some of the best rates however, they have to order it in from the Honda supply system so you wouldn't get it by Friday. If I mail mine tomorrow via USPS priority mail, you should have it by Thursday.

Paypal. jamesbaldwin99@gmail.com. Ya, it sounds like the diff will be in need of some attention when you have the time. Send me back your mailing address and I will get it out tomorrow.

...and it goes without saying (and I speak from experience) that just because there is that huge 17 mm hex on that plug doesn't mean it needs a lot of torque on it. Just lightly snug it up.

And today I realized the tappet cover on the ATC70 is the same cap that's on the ES/SX diff. The part numbers are different because the finish is different otherwise its the same cap.

OHHHH Jim, when you said that in your message earlier I was confused as to why you were telling me that, but I didn't realize you were saying the tappet covers are the same as the diff. cap? I've never seen an ATC70 so I didn't know what the covers looked like.

Little bits of information like that are very useful when searching for parts. I was just throwing that out there.
