Front Fork Boots for 87 250SX

Okay guys, I have found several front fork boots on eBay but I was wondering if anyone has bought a pair and can tell me how well they fit? Also, from looking at the manual and the trike it looks like all I have to remove to get to them is a few pinch bolts? Is that wrong?

The time to do the fork boots is when the front wheel is off for the brake shoe change. The pinch bolts is all you need to take loose since the rest of the front end will be off at that point. It does make it easier to stick a flat blade screwdriver in to the pinch slot and open the forks up a little to get the fork legs out of the clamps both top and bottom.

Any idea if these same boots might fit an '87 Big Red?

The SX boots are too long marksman. I did find these that fit real good. OEM are still available but they are about 35.00 each.

Thanks for the info. I didn't realize that the OE ones were still available.

Have you seen any blue boots from them? I'm loving that price!

If you are going to buy the 4x4 truck boots you can get all kinds of colors . I bought a blue set for my 86 for under 5 bucks for the pair . Go to a local 4 wheel drive shop and buy them of the shelf . Not the same as OEM ,,, but cant beat the price .

Yeah I ended up finding them on eBay right after I posted that question. Think I'll pick up a pair of those soon.
