    Should I trade yz80 for 225dx?

Hey do you guys think a 225dx is worth about $750. That's what i was asking for my 93 yz80, but I was offered an 86 225dx. I didn't get pictures ye, but it runs.

750 sounds a little high for both, more so for the yz80 unless its really nice. Take a look at the 225, you might like it!

Im pretty sure you will get more enjoyment out of the 225 than the 80. This is more your size. As long as it's in good condition, it's worth it.

If it's in good shape and it's worth the trade to you, go for it! The 225's are a pretty good utility or trail riding trike.

He didn't mention that the driveshaft and pull starter are broken. He also doesn't have a battery, so the only way to start it would be for me to bring a jump pack. The drive shaft only costs $10 though, so i think ill take it if it starts. Last question- is it reliable?

I would take a thorough look over the machine. Check for engine smoke, knocks, broken/bent axles. Make sure the fenders are not cracked and that no pieces are missing. Check the tire wear and see if it needs new tires. If it needs a shaft and pullstart, then I would say yes because those parts are cheap like you said. Post some photos up here and I could give you better advice.

I would seriously look over the parts he say's are broken and ask how they happened. they might not be as cheap as you think they are, pull start can go any where from 100 to 200$
rectum nothin damn near killed them

id sell the YZ and find a cheaper YTM... the price seems way high to me, esp. if its broken. I have never hear of the shaft breaking but, its not to say its impossible, im just wondering what he was doing to bust it. is it the actual shaft or the gears in the final drive or the yoke where it attaches to the shaft from the motor? If its not in really good condition id look elsewhere.
