04 Yamaha kodiaK 450 snowbuster ! Brute Force 750 dust collector .
Bunch of es stuff I been buying for next builds....
Gone but lives on in my aching body the mighty 350x collection . A Beat 85 es im gonna rebuild
My cousin used the es boot on his sx and it fit perfectly. However they have differnt part numbers.
The ES boots are discontinued. The SX boots are still available. They have different part numbers but the difference between the two is the molded angle of the boot but they will interchange. Don't buy a new boot off Ebay. Go to your Honda shop and get one. Service Honda has them for about 17.00 plus shipping.
ok, great..which way is the arrow pointed since the angle is diff ?

I’m reviving a old Thread. Well I just ordered a sx boot for my big red I will post a pic of the difference and how they fit.
If its on the internet its got to be true they can't put any lie's on the internet
How difficult were these to change? Can you explain your process?
You have to remove the swing arm to replace them or at least move it back far enough to get the drive shaft unhooked from the motor to slip it in. Mine had bearings go out in the diff cause the water got in there and rusted the drive shaft and eat the pinion seal out.

On the SX, you may be able to push the driveshaft off the motor to the rear. The propeller shaft is spring loaded. Some guys have reported that it wouldn't push back far enough to get it off the motor. In that case, just unbolt the swingarm leaving the shock and brake cables still attached. Just push it back a couple inches or so. If you are able to get the shaft off the motor, let the propeller shaft drop. Now you will have enough room to get the new boot on.
