    82 Kawasaki won't start

    I have an old 1982 Kawasaki 250klt and the other day I was running it just fine. Today I tried to start it up and since it's electric start only I pressed the button and nothing happened. Anybody know some possibilities?

    Brand new battery. Old one was dead when I bought the machine. All lights power on when I turn the key too.

    Bad/no connection at starter button or starter? Bad starter? The ignition switch appears to be working since it's just an on/off switch.

    I discovered a bad connection by the battery. It wasn't connected good.
