    Aftermarket handlebars, levers, throttle, kill/light switches - 1984 200M

From what I can find the 200M basically has the ES rear end (except chain driven) and S front forks/fender. I think its still a 7/8" handlebar though.

My current handlebars are bent slightly and little rusted. Also I don't have a rear brake lever.

My plan is to put dirtbike handlebars on (with the pad), new grips, levers, maybe aftermarket thumb throttle and kill/light switch.

Have any of you put the dirtbike pad handlebars on an S or ES? I guess my main concern is the key and neutral light assembly thing and whether or not it will fit under the pad on most standard padded handlebars.

I am taller than most with long arms and legs so straighter handlebars may give me more knee room without a problem reaching the bars...

Also, can I buy most any universal brake levers and thumb throttle and connect the stock cables to them? Just like to know your thoughts and if you have done any of this.

    Thanks guys!

I know it's not a Honda, but my ytm 225 has aftermarket handlebars with a crossbar pad. My neutral light fits fine. The ignition switch is close and you have to rub the pad to turn the key. It's just foam. If you don't like how it all fits, maybe you can find some bars with a higher rise. They might have the extra clearance. Now I could be wrong, but I think most of the Japanese had the same ends on them. You could probably use a clutch lever for the rear brakes, but you might have a harder time finding a front brake lever since most of them have been hydraulic for a lot of years. If you're not too picky, you could use a clutch lever upside down for the front brakes. I've done that before. As for the throttle, I'm not sure on that one.
