1980 honda atc 110 no spark, anyone know the ohms from the stator?

I picked up a 1980 Honda atc 110, it has no spark. has new plug, new points, new coil, new valves, but a weak spark. anyone know how to test the spark ohms on the stater? or know what it could be? please help, it is quickly becoming a money pit. thanks in advance.

I had two 1980 110's with no spark last week. One was very corroded at the stator and points. I started by unscrewing the coil from the frame and wire brushing the metal contacts for the coil to frame, wire connectors, etc. The corroded one was not opening the points so I wire brushed and adjusted the point gap to .014". Both then got a fat white spark and ran strong. One had a broken spark plug insulator and was sparking through the insulator deep inside the plug, not at the electrodes, so my total parts cost will be $2.50 plus tax for a new plug.

I have always had great luck with wire brushing the electrical connections.

To answer your question. The stator is referred to as the EXCITER COIL and it is normal if there is continuity between the black wire and ground. It should measure between 100 and 400 ohms, per the "atc90_73-78_atc110_79-81_servicemanual"
