    Some Tri-Z questions for my "new to me" Z

    Just picked up an 86 Tri-Z for a whole $300. It's missing some stuff but otherwise I'd say it's in really good shape.

    Some things that I'm not sure on though. First, the clutch isn't working, there's no tension on the lever in the cases. What could be the problem?

    Secondly there is a tube coming off of the intake with nothing at the end. I think it's for one of those boost bottle things. Is it supposed to be on there? If it is I need one.

    Third I checked the compression and got 150 psi, is that good for the motor?

    Fourth, is the rear shock rebuildable? It seems pretty much shot. I know a warrior one will work but I'm not sure if I wanna chance getting another bad one.

    I think that's all, atleast for now. I'm also looking for a pipe, rear caliper, and the stock gold rims. Thanks.

    I can answer your boost bottle question. Yes there was a factory bottle there.

    i have the boost bottle,front gold rim,one rear gold rim,a decent Phase Five head pipe.

    as for the questions i will have to look and see.might have a rear caliper too

    clutch isn't working, there's no tension on the lever in the cases. Sound like the clutch pack broke. you will have to pull cover to see problem.
