Thats an easy one to answer - as fast as its Horsepower, aerodynamics, altitude, road surface and its gradient, gearing and operator (driver) are willing to let it go.

All of the above factors that Wickedfinger posted take affect in the speed of anything but generally speaking, high 40's and maybe low 50's.
BTW, please don't turn this into a thread about the little ATC 70 that outran the cops on the interstate or how the front wheel drive Foreman with a bad pull to the right broke the sound barrier. They always breed arguments, which when combined, take up bandwidth for the site.
